[9/3] March Holidays Homework + Some Important Matters

Math Holiday Homework & Other Matters
We have finished the Topic on Fraction of a Set today.
Do revise Textbook pg 26-31 on the Model Drawing Method to solving questions on Fraction of a Set.
  • Complete Practice 4: Fraction of a Set, pg 11-14 only
  • Complete Heuristics 2: Question 1-4 only
  • Term 1 Math Unit Review (Test) has been returned to you. We have gone through the answers. Do complete any outstanding corrections that you have. Get Parent's Signature above your Marks.
  • Math File has been returned for Revision during the March Holidays. (except Topical Worksheet Booklet & Heuristics Booklet)
  • Get Parent's Signature on the Content Page for Homework Book Practices
  • Bring back Math File & Unit Review (Test) when you come back in Term 2.
Science Holiday Homework & Other Matters
  • Read at least one Science Book on Magnets from NLB and record what you've learnt in your Science Journal.
  • Science File has been returned for Revision during the March Holidays. 
  • Get Parent's Signature on the Content Page.
  • Note that Science Topical Review will only be returned to you in Term 2 Week 1. 
  • Bring back Science File when you come back in Term 2.
Science Extensive Reading Programme
  • An email had been sent to all parents on 6 Mar on the launch of the Science Extensive Reading Programme.
  • Do use this March Holidays to borrow books on Interactions (Magnets) as we will be starting on this topic in Term 2.
  • Make notes on New Information (What you've learnt) in your Science Journal after reading the Science Books.
  • Record the list of Science Books you have read in the "Science Book Reading Log" Worksheet given to you.
  • I will collect the Reading Log in End April, after completing the topic on Magnets.

To facilitate parents to be able to find relevant Science books which are related to the Science themes and topics, we have printed and distributed to the pupils the following:

In case it has been misplaced, I have included the link for a printable list for your reference, so that you bring this list along when you go to branches of the National Library to borrow books for your child / ward:

Social Studies: Harmony in Action Photo Contest 2017 
In line with our celebration for Racial Harmony Day, we are organising a photo contest entitled "Harmony in Action". You have been briefed on the Photo Contest today.

I have also email the details of the contest to all parents. The template below is to be used to submit the photo and caption to us. You may email the template to me latest by 28 April 2017.
