• The concept here is to Subtract the Fraction Parts from 1 Whole to find the fraction Left.
• Complete Q3 on pg 4 as homework.

• This concept is similar to the Basic Mastery WS 5 Word Problem. 
• Number the pages on your own, starting from the back of the yellow paper as pg 1.

Remember to.....
Change any whole number into fractions before subtracting with another fractions.
E.g. of conversing whole number into fractions:
1 whole = 3 thirds
2 whole = 6 thirds
1 whole = 8 eights
2 whole = 16 eights
Change to the same denominator before adding
You can still use the Lowest Common Multiple to help you find the common denominator.

Science Extensive Reading Programme

• An email had been sent to all parents on 6 Mar on the launch of the Science Extensive Reading Programme.
• Do use this March Holidays to borrow books on Interactions (Magnets) as we will be starting on this topic in Term 2.
• Make notes on New Information (What you've learnt) in your Science Journal after reading the Science Books.
• Record the list of Science Books you have read in the "Science Book Reading Log" Worksheet given to you.
• I will collect the Reading Log in End April, after completing the topic on Magnets.
