Math File
  • Math File has been returned for revision today.
  • The following items from Homework Book were filed into the Science File today.
  • Chapter 8 Practice 3 will be returned to you tomorrow.
  • Chapter 8 Practice 4 is not in the test. We will cover this in Week 10.

  • There are 3 more content pages in the Math file. 
  • Heuristic Booklet is returned to you for corrections. Do not file into Math File as we have not completed the remaining Heuristics.
  • Topical Worksheet Booklet and Basic Mastery Worksheet Booklet will be returned tomorrow. 











Science File
  • Science File has been returned for revision today.

Basic Mastery Worksheet Booklet (Class work)
- Complete WS 6 (Division by 1-digit number)
- Stop at Q8
- Pupils who have not completed in class will continue as homework.

4B Homework Book Practice 3 (Improper Fractions & Mixed Numbers)
- I've taught you 2 ways to convert an Improper Fraction to a mixed number.

Method 1 - Form as many wholes as you can. The remaining parts will make up a proper fraction.
Method 2 - Use the long division. The quotient is the Whole number in the mixed number. The remainder goes to the numerator. The divisor goes to the denominator.

4A Homework Book Chapter 3 Practice 1-3 Multiplication & Division (Corrections)
  • Complete any outstanding corrections from pg 27 to 32.
  • Show your working clearly when you do Multiplication & Division. 

Recap on P3 Fractions (Expressing a fraction in its simplest form)
  • I have taught you an easy way to simplify a fraction. 
  • Magic Numbers: 2,3,5 (Pizza Hut); followed by 7/11 (7 Eleven)
  • Always start with dividing by 2 to simplify a fraction. 
  • If cannot divide by 2 , then try the next number 3.
  • If cannot divide by 3, then try the next number 5, followed by 7, then 11.
